[Wednesday, December 08, 2004] After the successful trajectory correction maneuver on Nov. 18, the last in a series of three maneuvers planned for early mission operations, the operations team switched from commanding the spacecraft in real time to using MESSENGER's onboard computer.

[Tuesday, December 21, 2004] Last week the Mission Operations team at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory conducted a peak power test, which determines exactly how much power MESSENGER's solar arrays can produce at a given time and position.
